Google is starting to irritate me. I was doing searches at work yesterday and was getting these banners on the search page results that asked if I wanted to share my location?
It's like hell no I don't want to share my location. It took me a while to figure out how to turn that crap off.
Facebook has done the same thing.
It's all an effort to target ads at their users. But that would be their problem not mine. If they had an ounce of ethics it would be do you mind if we share your location and show users the link to opt out immediately.
BTW I get 10 times the spam mail with gmail that I get with yahoo mail. Why is that when I use yahoo mail almost primarily and have rarely given out my gmail email address.
