You didn't ask me and I'm not even an American but never mind.....don't the feds want to spend their political/financial capital at a time when it is likely to do them the most good.....eg. after congress returns and during the run-up to the mid-term elections??

Wouldn't they also wait until the stem cell legislation is re-approved?? Maybe flow the funding coincident with the re-approved legislation.

I would like to think Canadian politicians are more honourable than American politicians, but I am not sure they are.
