What 'proof' is it you are seeing? Thousands of companies run stock promotions every year, for many reasons. It is a natural step in building up a company. It is also a matter of fact that at this point, if PTI is going to make a real run at being a real company, they need to raise cash, and 5 cents a share isnt going to do it. Yes, some promo's are legit and some arent and before you go posting all the same old all over again, I will agree that PTI's checkered past makes this alone look like just another PR. But remember, we are giving the new management the benefit of the doubt, right. If at the end of 2005 there is still no sign of a battery or anything resembling one, I will be the first to bail out, clam up and go away. With any luck, richer for it due to a promo. (I do whole heartedly agree with your comments that they certainly arent doing this to save the world anymore so we may as well be in it for the money eh)?
