Check out Absolute Software. They are in the Trusted Computing Group and their technology has nothing to do with Wave.

They have their own module and firmware embedded on select OEM's PC's and companies that utilize the tech pay a licensing fee to Absolute. The tech is used in conjunction with Intel’s Active Management Technology. They can track a corporate Laptop and work with local authorities to get it back. JMO
