I am abysmally ignorant on the subject of guns... wasn't until I read thrifty's post that I realized it was air that powered the projectile... I could use a good description... IN VERY SIMPLE LAYMAN'S TERMS... of a gun you'd recommend, why, and how the dang thing works. Please keep in mind you are talking to someone who heretofore has had zero interest in these things. I despise this groundhog/these groundhogs. My deck is going to collapse if I can't deter the little bast*rds.

Somehow think I'm going to regret this... may have to replace the deck when it gets too shot up... I suspect I will not be the greatest of shots especially in the beginning.

Hope the trip to the dentist was painless and that tomorrow's surgery goes swimmingly. My dad had both eyes done. Came through very well. Went from a lifetime of coke-bottle thick lenses to very thin ones. Good luck!
