50 mil and CL - there is something totally missing in your abilities to understand what it takes to make a successful company.

WAVX is all about initial posturing, IP is one key part of posturing but herding the customers into one corral is essential. SKS has already won the posturing game - so it seems. The ultimate size of WAVX business has already been determined. Now its a wait and see to measure the results. Once this type of company is properly postured, practically any slob can do the harvesting. Branding is irrelevant. Wavx doesn't need publicity (branding).

Andy Grove faced a different job, one of integration. Initial posture means almost nothing in a technology intense business since the next big leap can come from anywhere. Technology devlopment, developing leading edge physics and anticipating or driving the evolution path is key to integration. Branding was a new element that INTEL brought to silicon.

Gates' situation demonstates the value of posturing and market share. Gates never had to deal with technological complexity. Note, Gates didn't intentionally posture his product, it feel into his lap. I certainly wouldn't want Gates as the creator of WAVX.
