I am wondering how the chosen company will be paid to finalize the prototype. Cash, shares, cut of the profit later, delayed cash?

Overall the PR was positive. If a larger company is willing to get involved it shows the product is real and has potential. That is by far the most important question about WDRP, the rest, production, marketing, sales, they should have no problem with, even if it does take a little longer than planned. However, it would have been nice if they were a little further along by now, maybe some preliminary performance numbers... Anyway, go wdrp!
