Its large due to the smaller float than most pinks. Less liquidity translates into less available buyers and sellers. Like when we had the .0035 bid and .0043 ask today, no one wanted to bid more than .0035 in quantity, and no one wanted to sell below .0043 in quantity. Sometimes you will have hidden buyers/sellers in the middle on pinks, but unless they are trading for a sizable block, they aren't represented on Level 2
