What utter nonsense...

most people are not on the verge of bankruptcy. The vast majority of those that want a job have one. The problem comes for many people when they are unwilling to take a job that doesn't fit well with their self-image or they are unwilling to move. If this person callimg himself saltydog is on the verge of bankruptcy he should have invested the time he spent dreaming of some phantom payout on looking for a job and paying his bills. While it is true that there are those that are hurting through no fault of their own it isw not nearly as widespread as the media would have you believe. They used to say that 5% unemployment was full employment due to the number of people that won't get a job under any conditions, so lets keep a little perspective.
