Rocky, as usual, great post and reply to muskyhunter11...

I would like to add my two cents. Or in the case of GTEL, my .17!

Not many people take a public company with a share price of .17 very seriously. That is because companies on the OTCBB are notorious for having BIG plans and LITTLE execution. Most are so undercapitalized, they never achieve their goals. Most of the time, they are good trading stocks where you buy on the dips and sell on the spikes hoping to make some extra money.

Let me site another example. Anybody here familiar with DNAP? Here's a little genomics science company which had promise to "revolutionaize" the way medicine was to be practiced. The CEO told everyone for years that he was going to "personalize medicine" and take DNA samples from patients in order to tailor the prescriptive medicine their body would tolerate the best. That was before BIG Pharma had anything to say about it. Lately, they have ventured into forensic medicine and help police departments locate criminals through DNA evaluation.

With all the hype and promise, the S/P of DNAP with some 800 million shares did get to .15 a share, but now they go for around .01 on a good day. Why? They have big ideas and no capital!

IMO, when you have any OTCBB company that says they can "revolutionize" a certain industry, ie "we feel that this technology will change the landscape of the telecommunications market" it is easy to see why "little red flags" start showing up. The only companies that can "really" change the landscape of any industry are those that have the MONEY...Microsoft, for example, whose software has facilitated the success of the internet, Apple and Dell which have made personal computers affordable and eBay which has found a way to turn a local garage sale into an money making international garage sale.

The other 10,000 or so OTCBB and Pink Sheet stocks are "wannabes." Right now, GTEL is one of them. This is not to say GTEL cannot make an impact on the telecommunications industry. After hours and hours of DD on GTEL, I think they have a better chance than most, primarily because they have multiple streams of income and are generating significant revenues right now. But, if the Stratellite potential is REAL, I would think a deep-pocket BIG Telecom player would jump on the bandwagon and finance the idea into practical reality. That just might happen, and to me, that is the best potential value of owning GTEL. The buy-out potential.

So, when my friends or cynics learn or inquire about GTEL, I tell them that GTEL is a great story stock. I even tell them it is a progressive "slot machine" just waiting to pay off. I tell them to only use discreationary monies when investing.

For investors to think that GTEL will fund an "early retirement" or help pay off their mortgage, think twice. The two best proven ways to do that is to WORK hard or more remotely, to accidently win some million dollar lottery!
