"We're in an area known as Pass-A-Loutre, Louisiana. This is pretty much the southernmost point. Right out here is the Gulf of Mexico. This is an area that was hit incredibly hard by the oil spill," said Ed Lavandera. Crews are in here in the marsh grass laying down this absorbing, absorbent pads, flipping them over. It collects the sheen on top of the water, and people around here are telling us in the last two months, they've really seen a dramatic change in the oil around here."
