Talk about MSFT paranoia, how does this sound? I was around when Bill Gates stole Windows from Steve Jobs; in the early 80’s I had both an IBM PC with Microsoft’s DOS and an Apple Lisa with Windows. Well, maybe Jobs got Windows in a round about way himself and so they both stole spreadsheets from VisiCalc, but Microsoft was the winner and the genetic code of MSFT runs deep, having sprung from the veins of Bill Gates.

You don't have to have a long memory to remember the many companies that have been brought to their knees or obliterated by MSFT. I have even been astounded by the government’s failed attempt to control them while it remains blatantly obvious that they are a monopoly with free reign, not only the US but with world dominance. Additionally, it appalls me that it appears they are about to appease the EU by removing the Media Player.

Domination of OS, yes, but not just of PCs, I would assume they hope to dominate all systems that transmit all things digital - watch the world of handhelds, video conferencing to home media centers and any type of distribution data distribution, MSFT is there.

The only hope I have for the future of Wave is that Windows and their Internet Explorer have continued to have such serious security flaws (perhaps their Achilles Heel) that I cannot imagine they could convince anyone that they alone can handle the security of the world’s financial and intellectual data.

However, it is a dog eat dog world out there, and MSFT is the biggest Rottweiler in the pack. Not much gets done in the IT space without their blessing and so I do not yet breathe easy fearing that they will not eat our lunch if it is at all possible to do so.

All that being said, I’ve been long WAVX for long, long time and I’m here to stay; I believe that good things can and do happen. However, I’m also glad to know that I’m not the only one here that worries about Mr. Softee.
