and here are the prices from a local company. Now, I don't know if Cetek lasers, polishes and machines products which obviously adds to the cost. Like I said before, the chemical composition is another factor of price. From what I hear, other companies will make large sheets for customers and laser them to specific sizes, etc. The major advantage for Cetek is supposedly their "proprietary process" and their ability to make ultra large sheets. This is what made me invest in Cetek but now I am starting to wonder exactly how much of an edge they really have in the ceramic substrate market. The technical field of ceramics is interesting regarding their various applications and I invested in Ceradyne which makes the ceramic armor for the Humvees, etc. While CTKH went from .006 to .002, CRDN went up about 6X considering the two splits. (Yes, I do realize CTKH is a pink sheet stock!) I guess I was hoping something special was being developed by Cetek in terms of their substrates and this stock would move too.
