waverider: No disagreement. I don't see Dell pointing in the direction of any other basic software for the TPM.

It's just unclear whether Dell is tilting toward Wave's ETS ---

(1) only by branding it and identifying it (and apparently it, alone) as the basic software for the TPM (thereby leaving users to take some discrete initiative to get it);

(2) also by putting a button for it in the customization sequence (thereby giving users a ready way to choose it as an option); or

(3) by putting it on a CD (or on the hard drive) inside each box.

My fantasy is (3). All we can count on so far, I think, is (1).
