Gentlemen and Ladies,
I am assuming that most of you have heard many if not all of the rumors currently floating about Medinah and Cerro Dorado. It has become apparent to me from those I have spoken with today that there is a high probability there will be some kind of announcement/update/news coming from Medinah this week. Which of these it will be is yours and my best guess. Nobody and I mean nobody can tell you which it is.
Three weeks ago tomorrow night I spoke by phone with Juan Jose Quiano in Santiago. He told me several things that I did not know and have not shared publicly with anyone. I have spoken privately with many people since that time and shared the information he gave. I confirmed all of that information the following day during 2 conversations with Les Price, who also provided me with many additional details.
Since that time there have been many discussions in private and some not so private about what should be or not be done with this information. Most of it has filtered around the many groups involved in this and there have been many discussions about whether this information should be presented in a public forum.
At first it was decided that I would sign my name to a posting that would be joint between myself and Kirk. We felt that this would be an honest move on our part to keep the Medinah and Cerro shareholders apprised of what we knew to be the truth about what has going on. After further condsieration it was decide to give the company the opportunity to provide this information on their own. That has not happened even though there is the possiblity it could happen this week.
I was informed by one shareholder who has spoken with a member of the board of directors who was "aggravated" with me because we were going to do this. The only possible excuse anyone could have to be aggravated with me or anyone else is because we are doing their job for them at which they have failed miserably.
When we decided not to post the information about what we knew I was personally attacked by a share holder in a public forum for lacking the "backbone" to do what he thought ought to be done. As I explained to him and I will explain to you....when I decide to
post what could be construed as confidential information I will do it at my discretion not his or anyone else. My very large and personal investment makes it my decision not his nor anyone elses.
To that end I am advising every one that as of close of the market on Monday August 2nd I will, in the absence of a comprehensive update by the comapny or an announcement of the closure of a JV by that time, post all the information that has been given to me. I will delineate a time line of when it was told to me and by whom. I will tell everyone all that has been told to me and you may draw your own conclusions.
I will also at that time post any and all rumors I have heard within the last wek and you may again draw your own conclusions.
Enough of this horse chit is enough. There is ample evidence that we are or may be close to closing a deal. If that is true I would suggest to management that they all get off their butts and get this done. Because come Monday I will be doing somebody in managements job for them. AGAIN.........
