Elmer, thread:

I've looked at the deleted posts and read a few of the posts on this board.

Hopefully, I can redirect the fire my way.

I hate reading about "why did you delete my posts" on a board. ANY of those kind of complaints needed to be directed at me via PM or via e-mail. I am responsible for all deleted posts. If it gets deleted, it is because I approved of it. The moderators simply help point out to me posts that should be deleted -- sort of an instant TOS button. and they do it very well.

All new people to the site sometimes have a hard time with the way this site is ran, but if you hang around long enough, you'll learn to appreciate it like 15k+ others seem to.

I like a good open debate. But I will not tolerate name calling or vulgarities. Those seem to be the only two problems here. Put simply, if you can't attack the issue don't bother posting. There is no need to attack a person here. No reason at all. Act as if you were talkign to this person in real life. You wouldn't use the F-word to explain book value to someone that asked.

That's all we ask for here, guys. At least on stock-specific boards. No name calling and no cursing. Because, again, it does nothing for the discussion. Now, if you want to go start your own board about "Bob's Sandbox", then by all means, go over there with your friends and curse and name call all you want. But this is a "professional section" for INTC discussions. And it needs to stay that way.

In the long-run, you'll see how much greater this is, versus having very slack rules and having an "anything goes" forum. It degrades the quality very fast to Raging Bull material.

Again, attack the issue/question and NOT the person.

Anymore questions, concerns, problems need to be directed to my board, my mail box, or my e-mail regarding deletions, rules, etc.

Thanks. You guys have a great board going here. Let's keep it rolling with INTC discussions.

Edit: Greg, Muell: I know you guys are catching some flack. I will be more than happy to moderate this board for the next few days/weeks, reading every post, to make sure I catch the heat, if you want. Just let me know.

Elmer, I invite you to my Q&A thread to debate the merits of your post(s), whether they should be deleted or not and what is acceptable. Come over to #board-504 and I will repost your entire post and we can chat about it. Convince me otherwise and I'll restore your posts. I'm always open to debate/discussion on any posts so we can clarify the rules to improve this forum for all to enjoy.
