Sirius Opportunity Can Be Found Across The Pond in the UK. $$$$

in the United Kingdom! In a move that mirrors the FCC’s switchover from analogue to digital television broadcasts, the doors are open to tens of millions of radio listeners which will be without an analogue option by the year 2015. Already, a grass roots effort is asking for Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) as an alternative, yet according to reports Sirius XM has no plans for UK expansion at this time.

Just imagine a scenario in which the U.S. Government banned am/fm radio and ordered a conversion to digital radio broadcasting. Imagine if you will, a scenario in which 100 million analogue radios were rendered obsolete and citizens were forced to upgrade their radios. Imagine 30 million car radios were affected and required replacement under the new government order. Now imagine that no viable alternative existed. Sound to good to be true SXM investors?

Well, that is exactly what is happening
The U.K is not ready for such a move, yet ironically Sirius XM is in a position today to capitalize on a new potential market. The Sirius TTR1 in an Internet Radio that can give UK radio listeners access to Sirius XM programming, today. Radio is very popular in the U.K., and Sirius XM already broadcasts several BBC channels on its satellite radio service.

Sirius XM has several options here. Obviously they can begin to build an infrastructure across the pond and capitalize on this incredible growth opportunity, or they can partner with a company that would like to offer Satellite Radio in England, just as Sirius XM has done with both Canada and now Mexico.

The company has time, yet making inroads now by providing Internet Radio access will go a long way in garnering consumer support. It seems Sirius XM sometimes prefers to be last to market, allowing companies like Pandora to get a foothold in a given market before waking up to the fact that opportunity existed.

For years, Sirius XM ignored user requests for cell phone applications and allowed a multitude of competitors to threaten its future viability. Sirius XM management needs to take the bull by the horns and jump all over this situation now…not 5 years from now.

Position Long SIRI

PS. Mel….if you cant find anyone to make this slam dunk opportunity a reality, give me a call and I’ll make it happen.
