First great to see you back. Second I'm not refuting the main points of your post, but only the above bolded phrase. Nokia is paid-up only for single-mode TDD products in 3G. They are NOT paid-up for the following 3G products: CDMA2000, WCDMA-FDD including HSDPA enhanced, or any dual-mode TDD product. Almost all 3G products for the next several years will probably be CDMA2000, FDD, and then FDD-HSDPA, which are all royalty-bearing to Nokia after 2001 and not paid-up. Even when TDD 3G products begin to emerge later in commercial volume, they will more than likely have to be dual-mode with FDD and HSDPA at first.
