I disagree. There is an untapped number of viewers for this type of reality show. People watch reality shows for a number of reasons, including: watching people suffer and watching people prosper (and making dumb as*ses of themselves). Look at the fishing shows, I watch them to see guys try to kick each other's A** and see how much they make in the process.
Could you imagine a female viewer's reaction when a cowboy miner discovers gold?
Generation Y would love to see what one discovers on the world's last unexplored places.
