Russ, GTEL is I believe unlike many other penny stocks because there are many of us who have been buying for two, three, four years or more at one or two cents or less. That means that many of those 21,000 shareholders don't hold 10,000 shares like you but hundreds or even millions of shares. Now, you can believe that or not, but it is true. I've been in this five years and have been buying all along -- with an average price of 3 cents -- several hundred thousand shares. I have a friend who I told about GTEL and he's bought more than 300,000 so far. And I believe some of the true longs who say they have a million or more shares. This stock has just continually been more attractive so there has been no reason to sell when you knew the only way was up. So many, many of us have just kept accumulating.
So, many millions of those o/s's are being held very closely by those 21,000 shareholders, and I for one, don't intend to sell any shares until it 's well into the dollars. I think the price is so low now, not because of the o/s, but because of the perhaps many millions of naked (counterfeit, non-existent) shares that have been traded over the last few years. Hopefully that manipulation will stop next week and than only those shares that really exist will be traded -- and it's going to cost someone dearly to get my shares!!
