Loop.. much more likely that it is end-of-quarter tape-painting by the short hedgies. Being June 30, hedgies will be taking their 2nd quarter fees, based on performance for the quarter. I've noticed other heavily shorted stocks disproportionately down at the end of this (or any other) quarter. We should be able to tell if this is true if/when they unwind their temporary naked-short within the next 3 trading days. Don't you love "the market"?
