The problem IMHO is that they do not go short for any length of time. And if the true short position is 350k shares, as reported, and there are tens of millions of shares that are held by non-insiders who have paid more than the current price, it's a recipe for disaster.

I don't think CDIV will be any different that the hundreds of stocks that have run up before it on "irrational exuberance" for many different reasons. If the MMs could "take it back down", why would they cover their shorts at the current, or even higher prices? They will make good money simply trading the spread. The higher the price, the larger the spread and the more frenzied the buying and selling, the higher the MM profit. Indeed, if there is no large naked short position, then the unfortunate but real bag-holders are already here.
