The latter is still working out distribution for national coverage but should be done by the end of the month. They will test the signal starting in Washington and few other markets initially and then go national(i.e 150 markets) RCN will have Chicago & Phil. onboard by sometime in Feb. or March the latest.
Now, the GOOD news. The Rasenberger hire was a move done to get other major carriers including the Satellite Companies. Frank can no longer travel around the country. His time is best served building from the inside, not working on the outside if you know what I mean. This is not his expertise. Frank is a visionary and a Network builder of programming & content, not distribution. He has done an admiral job, but he is now calling on the experts to negotiate and finalize the rest of the deals on the table and the ones to be put together.
This move PR today is the most significant move QTN has made since the addition of Firestone Communication.They should have done it a long time ago.
