That didn't work but I used the old computer upstairs to view my proxy settings to see how it worked. It works on no proxy settings but the laptop browser does not work on "no proxy settings". I did find a setting where I do have a connection but I lose my passwords and all the images.

How can I go back to my older version of Firefox without losing all my passwords and settings?
