Corp-Buyer and Davids and everyone--This is confusing but I think it is important that everyone read all of the posts because, otherwise, it becomes even more confuising. Maybe JimLur or Bill Daglish can post a link to a summary. There are four Nokia Motions pending. Two in Texas against Ericy and Two in North Carolina against Sony-Ericy. One in Texas is before Judge Lynn and involves the motion to compel Ericy to produce documents in pre-arbitration discovery on Dec. 22, 2004 The part of the motion was denied and a ruling on the remainder of Nokia's petition was deferred. There is no indication as to when it has been deferred to or why. The second motion in Texas is in the Sherman District and involves ordering discovery by Ericy to Nokia in the U.K. patent challenge. This is the motion that is scheduled for a hearing in February, 2005.

Similar motions have been brought by Nokia against Sony-Ericy in North Carolina, one for discovery in the arbitration and one for discovery in the U.K. patent challenge. I have not seen any postings on the status of these North Carolina cases.
