What really infuriates me is all these reports on how they need to get their hands on as much boom as possible, especially the absorbent type that needs to be replaced eventually. Why they are even importing it from frickin' China - which means it is probably made with more toxic materials than the oil!

Fact: The Hopedale staging area has at least one BP employee whose job title contains the words Field Materials Coordinator.

Fact: The local Parish has a person whose job title is Boom Deployment Coordinator.

Fact: Oil companies like BP excel at large-scale projects, and all the logistics and project management involved with it.

Yet, with all these "food chains", they are ordering materials with no knowledge or idea of where they will be deployed?

Are they just stockpiling for future needs??
