I was posting these same totals and percentages a month back until a few posters commented to the effect of, "these short numbers also reflect unsettled trades and are not necessarily fully indicative of short shares" or something to that extent. Apparently the only real short share totals for any stock are posted bi-monthly, according to FINRA. So it may be reasonable to believe that 30-40% of those daily totals are short shares, if that. Just, IMO.
