Not doing much today so doing a little follow-up on other cord blood companies and relationships. In order of size in the US.
1) CBR - Private and no relationships I can find
2) Viacord - Subsidiary of PerkinElmer, a global health care company that paid $300M in 2007 for Viacord
3) Cryo Cell - Public company trading under CCEL. No relationships.
4) Cord Blood America - No relationships yet
5) Lifebank - Subsidiary of Celgene, bought in 2002
Seems Pfizer is not yet associated with a cord blood banking company. Per Mr Long's post they recently joined the Nevada Deveopment Authority and also recently hired an Alliance Manager in Nevada.
I'm liking this development. Time will tell.
Don't worry about the mule going blind just load the wagon.
