I have read Eneerg link to the UK court service pages. These pages show the following. This matter was first fixed by the court for a hearing way back on 21 Oct 2003. There was a hearing in July 04 that led to the trial being adjourned on the 7 July 04. On the 22 Nov 04 a hearing was vacated ie did not happen and on the 29 Dec 04 a new date for a trial has been fixed for 4 July 05 for 15 days.

I am not a lawyer but it seems this has been going on for quite some time, clearly Nokia first went to the UK courts on this matter in October 03, and each side may be asking for extra time and if the judge believes the request to be reasonable the trial is ajourned to a further date (now July 2005!) so for IDCC this appears to be nothing new. I do not know what the disclousre rules are in the US, being from the UK but I am assuming once Nokia started this action in the US IDCC have to notify it. I do not know if IDCC had to notify it when it started in the UK

You will also see that both parties have changed lawyers. In this country we have junior lawyers and QC's who are senior lawyers. Both parties have now taken senior lawyers, so I would speculate that the evidence is slowly being prepared for a trial. I am also speculating that a trial was set for nov 04 but neither party was ready
