The HP enterprise sales channel opportunity for Wave, exists with or without TDM bundling. Either way Wave needs to add staff to grow the opportunity.

This page hasn't updated Wave's membership in HP SLMS, but Wave IS there now.

Bundling TDM appears to be necessary for HP to do as SED adoption scales up. This way the HP enterprise customer doesn't have procure the Wave software separately, and just as important, HP can bid equally against Dell for orders that include SEDs, including the gov't where TDM-bundled Dell SEDs are already priced on buy lists.

Dell's SED option includes the cost of Wave software, so will HP's need to, and imo Lenovo's as well.

SEDs are meant to come bundled with the client software just like TPMs. So far only Dell does this, but I don't see how HP and Lenovo can ultimately avoid doing the same. And imo this is how Wave can begin to leverage their SED patents...to be the software that PC OEMs integrate with trusted drives (SEDs).
