How about two screened walls about a foot apart and about 3 feet above water level filled with MOP inbetween allowing the water into the marshes but collecting the oil.

The problem with he berms they have constructed is the marshes NEED the water flow.

The MOP could be changed out pretty easily if it was packaged in large mesh bags.
