I fully agree with progress reports, show the filing was received, show it's actually been in someones hands, provide some details if it's made it though a few different departments, provide any communications between the company and the FDA, black out any potentially confidential information. Let investors see in some what real time if the FDA has requested or the company has filed additional information on time if requested.

There are trade secrets revealed in filings, so some things need to remain private, at least until the company attains copyrights or patents needed to legally protect a companies intellectual property. The system also needs to stay closed enough to keep information out of the wrong peoples hands, this way no one can interfere between the company and the FDA. It's a hard system to set up. There were changes recommended to address some of these concerns, we just need to see what the FDA does at this point.
