If they ever raised up close to the bottom of that old shaft full of water and then blasted an entry into it to drain the water the whole 2000 feet of timbering would come down in a monstrous SWOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!! There would be such a jumble of timber they would never be able to clean up the mess. I would guarantee that the Mines Inspector will not allow it. They could however do a lot of diamond drilling from the Sinker Tunnel underground to locate both new and old veins. But that is a long way in to the prospective area. I don't know the configuration of the veins however. A very expensive exploration program however. I think they are in way over their depth.
