hrbart - I'm not sure how many times over the past year (since I switched) I've said....why the heck didn't my PC ever do this?

Granted, I was a bit nervous after almost 30 years in the PC side...that lasted for about 2 hours after I unboxed my 1st MacBook. It seamlessly found my wireless network, my printers (no need to get drivers)....even my other PC based systems. I originally thought I was going to make a partition on the system and run Windows (my Intel based MAC can run Windows on same machine) for some of my more critical apps that I was used to, but in the end I didn't. I loaded MS Office for Mac, got support for my mail programs and away I went. I had a hard drive that I had backed up all my data on. Pics were found on the hard drive and imported directly into iPhoto. My docs, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, etc - all came happily over. The only issue I had was with my ACT! contact manager, I had to work around and do some exports and imports. Safari is a wonderful Internet browser, many cool features....you can also run Firefox and more. Oh yeah....we had 3 different types of digital cameras in the house...you guessed it, they all were found, no drivers to load. It's been a wonderful experience.
