OT: somebody in their 60's close to retirement inherited 250k tax free money and doesnt know where to put it...he doesnt need the money for at least 3-6 years...not much of a risk tolerance but would obviously want a decent return...anyone have a suggestions on where to put the money...

he is considering a variable annuity from axa which will pay out 5% of the highest balance after 1 year
