If you knew the past HP/Wave relationship, then you would know that Wave would NEVER dedicate resources to the relationship UNLESS it was a "done deal". HP has quasi screwed Wave so many times in the past despite the fact that Wave has actually HELPED and ASSISTED HP in enhancing their toolkit of security related packages that there is NO WAY that Wave would spend resources unless HP was DEDICATED to the arrangement.
Believe me. HP is almost as bad as Apple in terms of proprietorship and keeping things in house. Wave knows this mindset better than anyone. No way Wave would dedicate expensive human resources to an account unless they had some large degree of assurance that this was going to be the 'real deal'.
SO, you can be skeptical and that's OK. But I am about as confident as one can be that the HP account is like the DELL account. Do I have the black and white signed document to prove it to you? No. But I have the next best thing and that is the allocation of huge human resources to the account that would not happen unless it was a 'done deal'.
