this is we can't be sure, can we? We can't disprove the absence of anything. Rumsfeld's unknwown unknowns are hard to vanquish. Even if this melt down was just an unfortunate happenstance, you can be sure that the mafias of russian, china and others will be studying the event in hopes of replicating it under their control. In such a world you have to go with a pants and suppenders solution to security that solution has to include knowing who and what is on your cloud. Especially if your cloud is an ECN that can bring the G20 to it's knees in 2 minutes or less. That calls for NAC and EEE, so the ECN clouds of the world can prevent the bad guys from playing in the financial sandbox.

Hopefully, a strong and focused impetous will develop towards the implemention of Trusted Computing. Certainly the top 3 hedge funds in the world could easily scrape together a billion or two to ensure they are able to continue to practise their lucrative trade in a safe market place.
