Hi Chuckerfmfla,

Good luck with your rejuvenation (I hope this word is correct in your language) and make sure the doctors use Ceramics. smile This is what I found on the internet:

World's first reliable ceramic knee :
A team of Australian researchers has come up with an international project leading to the development of the world's first reliable ceramic knee technology.
A team of 12 engineers, surgeons and material scientists has designed the first largely ceramic prosthetic knee that, by reducing the effects of friction and wear, is expected to have a much longer lifetime than existing technology.

And.....

Trident® Ceramic Hip System
Eclipsing All Others...
New ceramic-on-ceramic joint replacements are expected to meet greater demands
of younger, more active patients and be in service longer than ever before. To meet these demands and reduce the potential for early failure due to osteolysis, alternate bearing surfaces have been developed to minimize the amount of wear in total hip replacements.

I am sure you can play soccer with Stakddek when you are back. My uncle had two hip-operations and now he actually can play soccer, ride a bicycle (and have a mistress, the lucky b......!!!) . He wished he had these operations 10 years earlier.

Good luck Chucker, hope te hear from you soon!
