FWIW ... My guess is that BP and the Coast Guard will pay anything to get as much absorbant material from as many sources as they can find. The Gulf fishing industry, not to mention the tourist business there and on Florida's west coast, is much too fragile and economically important to worry about spending a few million more to preserve it where possible and rescue it where damage is already done. MOPN and many more large and small companies will be working around the clock making the stuff. Hang on for the ride.
