Found this interesting tidbit how to stop short selling of SIRI stock

I am not certain if this strategy works or was coincidental, but with a different stock and message board everyone that was long input a GTC limit sell order for their shares for a considerable amount higher than the current price. For SIRI I think $2 or $2.25 would be appropriate. MM will not allow shares to be borrowed when there is a sell order input for the shares. If shares cannot be borrowed shares cannot be shorted. Again, this may sound rediculous but I witnessed the result, or at least coincidence, before. I am going to input a GTC limit sell order of my 35k shares tomorrow at $2. I can always cancel the order when appropriate.
