An update re the FIT program in Ontario and Gov't approved projects....

When the OPA approves grid connection contracts (Power Purchase Agreements), they require another deposit paid to them within a month or so of awarding the initial contract, and apparently a lot of companies, including Ozz Solar (who were awarded approx 140 PPA's) are now having difficulty raising the financings necessary to move forward....if they don't meet the gov't deadline, they lose the contract from the gov't....and here you guys are, pointing your fingers claiming that AWSL don't have contracts....

I love the fact that AWSL had secured their financing first, guaranteeing they wont be in the same predicament...

These other companies are under a lot of pressure to secure funding or they will lose all of their projects..this creates a perfect opportunity for AWSL...they could even possibly partner on projects with some of these other companies, and provide the funding....

Or it would make sense if AWSL went in and swooped up several entire projects from some of these underfunded developers/integrators, seeing how AWSL have been pre-approved on their "initial $120 mil project financing"

I'm speculating, but Anything is possible.
