I am not 100% sure. Remember plasma or LCD TVs...They were also very expensive...now everybody have them and only with High Definition - even if there are just a few programs in HD.

If it will not hurt eyes to watch it all day, then I believe it might be faster than application of Thorium.

And about expensiveness....at the end I believe in some algorithm which will disassemble and then reassemble recorded picture. Simple and cheap shooting...

But we will see. For sure I believe in holograms in the future. 3D should be the step that way...
