Imminent is a bit strong. Eventual is more like it, if they intend to be taken seriously. Sure, you can trade for under $5.00 forever, but as long as you trade under $10, you won't get enough analysts to cover the stock to have a strong base of underwriting support, and will have to depend on Reg D "accredited investors;" or worse, the "vulture capitalists" to raise capital. Finders fees are expensive, and many stockholders tend to get uneasy when a large transaction occurs at significant discounts to the market price.
