WAVOID STATUS - At some point, the status of being a 'Wavoid' will be known publicly and Wavoids will be glorified. I believe that an official definition of the term is necessary so that those who have not endured the suffering are excluded from calling themselves Wavoids.
So here is the first crack at a working definition of the term 'Wavoid'.
A Wavoid is anyone who can meet ALL of these tests
a. one who has been a LONG investor since the landmark HP/Wave announcement in 1998 and,
b. one who has visited and participated in a Snackman-sanctioned Wave board (Yahoo, SI, Raging Bull, Investors Hub) an average of more than 20 times per year since 1998 and,
c. one who can remember the day this board declared that the wait for deployment would be a 'slog' and continued to hold the stock anyway.
You are automatically deemed a Wavoid if any of the following apply:
1. Seen a play about Wavoids,
2. Have Wavx or Wave-related license plates,
3. Have displayed or adorned Wavx paraphernalia (shirts, mugs),
4. Have your cell phone or other digital device backlight with
the word 'Wavoid',
5. declared yourself a Wavoid in front of 2 or more people ,
6. Said any catch phrases such as: "It's a done deal", "June
was ours" or "It's gonna be awesome" when serioiusly
discussing Wave with non-Wavoids,
7. Purchased the first Haupauge TV card with the 7 Wave games.
I will modify this definition to the specifications of other Wavoids. Feel free to comment. You know who you are.
