Companys buy back shares especially at a cheap price to put back in their treasury!! Of course the pps will rise and ceo and officers of the company who wish to sell some of their own personal shares and make themselves very wealthy will do so!! Higher pps will also give them much more clout in acquisitions of other companys and of course more believability as a "going concern"..They will offer 1 billion shares for xxx company and with future acquisitions this rmdm will grow into (hopefully) a hugh conglomerate!!...I wish you prosperity and patience is the key to successful investing!!...sid..red bluff, ca.
