Excellent points Jonesie!

To me, it all seems so obvious whats going on. I imagine it all started with some sort of white knight type who brought in an investor group to save TIV during BK and then later started an investment fund called Opus1 and "contributed" heavily ($150 million?). Perhaps when the various Opus investments failed (Temblor West purchase/operations including new "cookie cutter" wells and water flood, Moffat land/operations purchase along with deep/expensive so-called "discovery" well, $10's of mils at Eecho, mils at Sunrise, mils at Holly Sugar, many many $10's of mils at Pleasant Valley now tangled up in landowner lawsuits, etc, Chowchilla acquisition, rig acquisitions and refurbishment "better than new", steamers, pipelines, building millions in "production capacity" or "infrastructure", many others?) they demanded a way to recoup their lost Opus contributions? Or perhaps it was all part of some original plan to indemnify one "investment" (Opus partnership?) with an "investment" in something else (stock?)?

To me, it seems so obvious who their "dearest friends" are, which may not be the same as the "outside" retail shareholder. But then, this is all just speculation on my part.
