Does anyone know what kind of numbers are required for CARB/EPA approval? Not looking for the min levels of carbon monoxide ect. How they got those numbers and what will be required to satisfy CARB.How many tests. Will the 'numbers' be one test on gas engine and one for diesel? Or will they need to submit numbers for each make and model. IMHO Its only a WAG but one set of numbers for each manufacturer in all cylinder configurations ie, 4cyl,5cyl,6cyl,8cyl,10cyl,12cyl would be the maximum required. I should think that they would test the largest application first. Passenger vehicles and trucks will be easy to test. The emissions test here in California takes about 20-30 min. Some of that time is used to inspect the vehicle to ensure all the proper equipment is on the car.
If the numbers are good, this should pass easily.
With the price of gas only going up and the quality of the air going down Now is the time for this and all products like it to hit the market!
