Not only DD to make sure they have a job, but to make sure the buyer plans on continuing operations. Some companies buy others just to break up and sell off or close the business completely.

wrong again. Threshers has stated right from the beginning that "the management of Thresher will stay in place!" So if i were Tom Flessner, Roger Rowell, Kevin Weeks, etc etc I would be doing alot of DD to make sure that I have my job when the new company takes over.
