Affluence Corporation Launches Version 2.0 of its Website



Affluence Corporation (PINSKHEETS: AFFU - News), the leading social network for high wealth individuals, announced today that it has launched a newly designed version of its social networking website.



The new version of the website includes a new look and feel, a more intuitive user interface and feature rich content. Doug Stukel, Affluence Chairman and Interim President said, “What makes this upgrade so impressive is it was designed based on feedback and input from our ‘power users.’ Several of our members worked in conjunction with our design team to help architect the 2.0 release. To have them volunteer their time to help us with the redesign is a testament to their passion and the value the site brings to them,” added Stukel.



Affluence.org Version 2.0 includes extensive use of AJAX (which upgrades the site to Web 2.0), integration with Facebook and LinkedIn, a new graphical user interface and re-architecture of the underlying code base to improve speed. In addition to the technical features, Affluence.org Version 2.0 includes added privacy options, increased user ability to post rich media throughout the site, increased ability to customize activity feeds, additional content channels and new blogging features in each channel.



Content channels were added for wealth management, stocks and travel. The wealth management content channel includes sub-channels for angel/venture investing, private equity deals and non-profit concerns. The stock content channel includes current quotes and the ability to monitor individual portfolios. Affluence.org has also engaged free-lance bloggers for each content channel so members can keep current with the latest trends in each area of interest. The company plans to increase the number of content channels over the next few months. “The content channels that Affluence.org provides differentiates us from the social networks that cater to the masses. In addition to the social networking aspect, our members enjoy being kept current on the latest trends in travel, wealth management, transportation and luxury goods plus they are also offered interesting and unique opportunities. For example, last month in conjunction with our partner Guitar Aficionado our members were offered an exclusive opportunity to attend the Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck concert in London as VIPs complete with back stage access, luxury accommodations and exclusive parties. The event was a resounding success and we are planning future events,” said Stukel.



“We have noticed a marked increase in the number of users on the site and a sharp increase in page views and in time spent on the site after we implemented the 2.0 beta version in mid-January. Since we are a private network we do not allow the major statistical information companies past our firewall, but page views have increased by 126%, log-ins by 165% and new member sign-ups have almost tripled” said Stukel.
