It's a little bit of a stretch to believe that "the hottest water heaters selling right now!" is a model that costs $1,600+ for the unit alone. I checked out the review's on Lowe's website, and it sounds like people who've bought it aren't too impressed (noisy, overpaid, underwhelmed were a few comments).

Back to WDRP's tankless microwave water heater, here are my thoughts:
- Tankless - removes the huge waste of energy by having a tank of heated water constantly losing energy (heat) to the cooler environment by heat conduction.
- Heating temperature - by heating to a lower temperature than conventional water heaters, it removes another huge waste of energy when the hot water needs to be mixed with cool water to reach an adequate temperature for use.
- Microwave heating - Awesome and extremely efficient concept (you see how quickly food is heated in a microwave with minimal energy usage by the microwave). The alternating microwave field causes the water molecules to become "excited" and rotate (trying to align based on alternating wave) and collide into each other forming heat. Cool stuff.

What's not to love?
